Method and data
Method. Each dot is a distinct category and date_start pair from the CSV, so the 49 dated rows make 42 dots because rows sharing a category and date are drawn once; ranges plot at their start date and the two undated rows (C14, C15) are not plotted. The green dots are the 7 pairs dated December 11, 2026 (the Highway Trust Fund row counts as December 11 because the statute allows expenditures before December 12), hollow dots are forecasts (Trustees, CBO and debt limit projections) and solid gray dots are dates set in law, by schedule or by the calendar, and the 13 Division B extensions in the title are the single row C07.
