Method and data
Method. Citizens = 342.739 million residents (Census monthly estimates, POPTHM, January–August 2026 average) × 93.23% citizens (ACS 2020–2024, B05001: 312,247,827 of 334,922,499) = 319.5 million; × $5,000 = $1,597.7 billion, 4.9% of GDP (2026 Q2, annual rate, $32,563.03 billion) and 2 times the three pandemic checks ($814 billion in 476 million payments, PRAC, data as of December 31, 2021). Adult citizens: 245,275,126 (ACS 2024 1-year) × $5,000. The two bases differ: the all-citizen count applies the five-year share to the 2026 population; the adult count is the 2024 one-year level.
