From Study XVII, Exhibit 76

Defense gains $233.6B in House bills; 6 of 11 others fall

Source. CBO status reports, FY2027 House (June 25, 2026) and FY2026 (April 30, 2026)

Method and data

Method. Both levels are CBO base budget authority (security plus nonsecurity), excluding designated and emergency amounts; the Legislative Branch bar is not like for like because CBO’s House total omits Senate items, and the House committee states $7.3B, $42.5M above FY2026.
