Method. Full days as printed by CRS; a gap starts the day after budget authority expired. Intervals are date differences with one end not counted; counting both ends adds a day, which is how R49105 reaches 76 and 43. RS20348 does not count the 116-day Border Patrol and ICE lapse that R49105 lists. Two gaps of 8 days tie for tenth place and are not shown. Alternative CRS counts are in the CSV.
